so i guess ill just fill in what my dad left out. on day one we went to the summer palace after the forbiddin city, which is where the emperor would take his favorite concubine for a month. It was located on the edge of a lake which is currently frozen over. we walked basically just around the palace. it was very pretty. we walked along the corridor which was beautifully painted. and apparently also in the guiness book of world records for being the longest. after that we went to the acrobatic show which was pretty cool. i wish i could have gotten more pictures then what i did but they were moving so fast the pictures blurred... but some of the things those kids did, well it is simply un-natural! but amazing to look at! As dad mentioned when we went to tianenmen square two guys came up and wanted to take a picture with me which was.... strange to say the least. i didnt really know what to do so i copied the guy and made the peace sign. it was pretty funny tho when the second guy came in to get in the picture and the first guy shoved him away. haha i laughed pretty hard. the next day we went to the forbidden city, and then to Ming's Tomb and at Ming's tomb there was a crowd of people who were staring at me and calling me beautiful, it was kinda over whelming and i didnt know what to do with that kind of attention so i'm sure i looked like a small child trying to hide behind mom, well not hiding behind her but standing really close and grabbing's mengs arm.

on the way back from Ming's Tomb we stopped to have our picture taken with two camels we saw laying by the road. but then meng and and i learned that we could actaully GET ON TOP of the LIVE camel.... yes LIVE camel, in china.... how often do you see that??? so meng and i both got on top. it was sooo scary, i thought he was going to spit on me, or like buck me off. but he didnt. the first camel i was going to get on didnt want to cooperate with the girl at all....he stood up before i was on him at all, and they yanked on a chain that was looped thru his nose, and i felt bad for it so i got on the other one. it was really scary but awesome at the same time. how many people can say they climbed the great wall AND rode a LIVE camel in one day??? i just dont know. so i felt pretty accomplished, i must say.

today we just shopped, it was pretty cool, i got to bargin with the seller people, thru calculators if they did not know english. i got a purse, and shoes, and a belt. and i got a few gifts for some friends at home. it was pretty neat. now we are just relaxing and i think i am going to go make some hot coco!!!!
